Emico Commissions Big Stick Design to consolidate a growing brand reputation…

Typical of many engineering companies Emico was so totally absorbed in fulfilling the needs of its clients that its own brand went pretty much unmaintained.In Emico’s case at least MD John Barry was aware the brand had evolved with the rapid growth of the company and briefed Big Stick to re evaluate it’s positioning and reflect more accurately the growth and more diverse client focus of the company.The brief encompassed both online and off line work with the objectives to refocus the brand, clarify its key messages and reflect them visually in a clean, professional, high tech way, suggesting the scope and quality of the work implemented by Emico Engineering. It was made clear that the ‘get it right first time culture’…Emico’s emphasis on environmental friendliness and the new Design and Build part of Emico’s business were key messages for inclusion in the creative process.

Outcomes
The result was a new perception amongst clients who were now more ready to consider Emico for Category 1 projects. An increased success rate in their tender work and a massive increase in commissions for Design and Build work.
An added bonus was a boost in staff morale,the process had engendered renewed confidence internally at Emico as the team reflected on just how much had been achieved and the huge opportunity for significant growth going forwards.

Design concepts for a corporate strip (used on stationery) with tagline and incorporating existing logo in new visual styling below was an initial electrical swirl design theme proposal which developed into the blue spherical grid which provided a cleaner more,professional image. It also had the flexibility to work on numerous marketing vehicles to give a consistent them to the branding and make it both recognisable and memorable.
